Academik America Targets Accreditation of 50+ data science degree programs in North American Universities

Academik America, a global leader in transforming professional higher education, has announced its plan to accredit 50+ data science and related degree programs offered by universities across North America. This initiative aims to enhance the quality and recognition of professional Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in data science by ensuring that institutions meet the highest standards of academic excellence and industry relevance as per the Data Science Council of America’s (DASCA’s) standards.

Partnering with universities across North America is a significant step in our mission to revolutionize education globally," stated Aariya Goel, Managing Director of Academik America. "We are dedicated to closely working with our universities globally to ensure they meet the rigorous standards required for accreditation. These partnerships will position us at the forefront of global education and equip students with cutting-edge skills in emerging fields, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers.”

Adding to its notable achievements, Academik America played a pivotal role in the accreditation of 45 programs within the Texas State University System (TSUS). Set up under the authorization of DASCA, the Integrated Center for Data Science (ICDS) at Texas State University uses the Zeus platform to integrate data science learning across these academic disciplines seamlessly.

This North American initiative marks just the beginning for Academik America, with expansion plans already underway to extend accreditation efforts to institutions in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Aligned with Academik America's broader mission to empower academic institutions worldwide, the organization has a presence in over 90 countries through partnerships with more than 200 organizations. Dedicated to driving substantial improvements in the education sector, Academik America is committed to overcoming cultural, geographic, and economic barriers through innovative educational solutions.
